Children, gather round, sit close to me,
There’s something here I’d like you to see.

See, one child’s wonderful, Flynn, that much is true,
But what’s more fun than one? That’s right, Laura, two!
Can it get any better? Michael, can it be done?
Yes! With three amazing children, it’s three times the fun!

Yes, it’s also three times the noise, but that’s okay,
Because it’s three times the laughter, too, every day.
It’s okay there’s three times the yelling, I guess,
But how on earth do you make 24 times the mess?

Every minute’s an adventure, every second’s a delight.
I’m so proud of you three, I’ll shout it with all my might!
I’m seriously the luckiest dad I know,
I live with Triple T, the Tremendously Terrific Trio!

This morning while I snored, you three got out of bed,
Crayons in hand, blue, green, yellow, and red.
You raced out of your bedroom to make a start
On creating a masterful work of art.

Flynn decided who should draw where
As the colors began flying everywhere.
"Dad’s awake!" Michael cried, starting to race,
Drawing so fast you even drew on your face!

Look at the castles, people, and rainbows,
You even managed to draw on your clothes.
Your artistic skills are beyond compare,
But really, Michael,
How did you draw in your hair?

Finishing touches were frantically applied,
As I walked in yawning, mouth open wide.
I stretched my arms, I rubbed my eyes,
And was greeted by Flynn,
"SURPRISE!"

Laura, you look worried,
And I have a feeling,
It was you who drew that car on the ceiling.
You all make life – and walls - so colorful,
I won’t call the police,
Because you three are my favorite masterpiece!
