Create a Life-Size Self-Portrait

A long roll of paper can create endless opportunities for kiddo to stay active.

While your kiddo will require some initial assistance, you may be able to score a few minutes to yourself after that. Unroll some paper on the floor and have your child lie down on it, tummy up. Then trace the outline of their body onto the paper and let them create! Extra points if they draw themselves in an “ugly” Xmas sweater or as one of Santa’s elves!

Should you have any decent sized boxes lying around the house, save them for Christmas! Though you could probably just give your kiddo a box and some crayons and let them have at it, you can take it a step further and make it into a North Pole play house, Santa’s sleigh, or even his Workshop! Then sit back and let them finalize the decorations with paints, markers or crayons.

Play "Don’t Wake Santa"

Sleeping Santa is a fun game to play with toddlers and kids.

This simple game is one requires you to be lying down with your eyes closed. Sound good yet? Your job is to pretend that you’re sleeping Santa (or Mrs. Claus) with one of your kiddo’s favorite toys nearby. They need to be as quiet as possible to try and steal it back without waking Santa. Open your eyes every time they make a noise and watch them scurry away to start again!
