Aiden and Jayce, come gather round,
I’ve got something to show you, look what I found:
A book starring the two greatest champions I know,
Yes, it’s you – you're the stars of the show!

This book is filled with adventures and fun,
You’ll imagine great things before we are done.
But while all these things will be great, it’s true,
When you do them together,
it’s excitement times two!

Because, my children, the best things come in twos,
Which reminds me of when I first heard the news.
The news that I was going to be a dad,
And when I heard there were two of you? I was doubly glad!

I stood on the rooftops, shouting out loud,
Telling the world that I was so proud.
And since then, Aiden and Jayce, I have to say,
My pride has doubled every single day.

This morning, I was happily sleeping away,
Not knowing, Aiden and Jayce,
You had started your day.
With happy smiles and big, wide eyes,
You were creating a big surprise.

You thought the walls looked pretty boring,
So you started drawing while I was still snoring!
Flowers and portraits and butterflies and more,
You even managed to draw on the floor!

Who thought this up? Probably both of you, I think,
And at the same time, you two are so in sync.
As I get out of bed with a stretch and a sigh,
“DAD’S AWAKE!” I hear you both cry.

Your drawing speed doubles, racing the clock,
You draw on the walls, your pants and your sock!
I walk into the room … I rub my eyes,
And you two proudly yell,
“SURPRISE!”

I look at our walls and I look at our floor,
You’re both so creative and talented
And awesome and more!
It looks SO amazing, I’m not even mad,
But perhaps next time
You can use a sketch pad!
