Oh My Tiara! Exclusive Interview with Fairy Star!

As part of our interview series on the amazing sidekicks for Hooray Heroes’ new book, “Hooray, Adam! You Did It!”, the new personalized children’s book that celebrates a child’s first milestones in life, we had the opportunity to sit down with the eponymous Fairy Star, a sprightly sprite from a faraway star brought here by a celestial blizzard.  We got to know her a little better, even if she had a hard time sitting still.  Oh, and for all other intrepid journalists and interviewers, if you’re interviewing Fairy Star, DO NOT bring cake or cookies or any sweets for that matter to the Green Room.  Learn from our experience.

AE: Fairy, or Ms. Star, hello!  How are you doing today?  Everything’s alright?

FS: OMG YES I’M HAVING A GREAT TIME THIS IS SO COOL I CANNOT BELIEVE I GET TO HAVE AN INTERVIEW I’M SO EXCITED OH NO I JUST FARTED A LITTLE I ATE LIKE 7 PIECES OF CAKE AND 20 COOKIES I CAN’T SIT STILL THIS IS GREAT I LOVE BEING HERE HELLO HOW ARE YOU IM FINE!

AE: Whoa there, Fairy! Here, let’s sit down.  There now, that’s better.  Comfy? Can we get you anything?

FS: Can I have a glass of milk, please? Oh, and a slice of cake.  No, bigger.  Bigger. C’mon, don’t hog it all.  Perrrrfect!  Now, just scoop some of that icing on there, please.  Oh yeah, there we go!  Thank you ever so much!

AE: My pleasure.  My goodness, I never realized just how much you like cake.  Is it just cake, or all sweets in general?

FS: Oh no, I LOVE all sweets.  You had some cookies before, right?

AE: We did… but as far as I know, they’re all gone.  So, Fairy, back to business.  Tell us a little bit about yourself.  How’d you get to our planet?

FS: There I was, minding my own business, when this huge interstellar winter storm swept me off my feet and carried my halfway across the galaxy until I arrived here.  It was strange at first, but there are so many amazing things to see here.  You see, I’m an ice-cream-cone-half-full kinda gal, so I tend to look on the bright side, especially if there’s sprinkles!

AE:  Good to know! You do have a chipper, happy-go-lucky disposition.  How has that helped you cope with being so far away from your home?

FS: I was really sad, not nearly as peppy as I am today, when I first got here.  But then I met Mrs. Hootwit, who helped me pick up my wand and see how amazing things could be and are!  From that day forward, I promised myself to be the bestest at everything I could be.

AE: That’s so sweet, and inspirational, too.  So, tell us Fairy, what are some of your favorite experiences so far here on Earth?

FS: OH WOW SO MANY LOSING MY FIRST TOOTH SKYDIVING EATING CAKE SEEING THE BIG CITY THE COUNTRYSIDE THE OPEN ROAD TRAFFIC JAMS MY COUSIN THE TOOTH FAIRY MAKING FRIENDS HUGS HUGS COOKIES CAKE FROSTING ICE CREAM TINSEL *FART* UH OH I FARTED BUT I LOVE EVERYTHING!

AE: Ok that’s quite a list! It seems you’re, well, enthusiastic about pretty much everything.  How do you think you’ll enjoy accompanying a little kiddo as they celebrate their first milestones?

FS: Whoa, that’s a heavy question.  Let’s sprinkle some pixie dust on this.  There we go!  Well, I’ve still got so much to learn myself about this wonderous place, and to be able to do it hand and hand with that special little boy or girl, doing things for the first time with them – I’m truly honored and can’t wait to get started!

AE: Well, that pretty much wraps it up here for us.  We’d like to thank you Fairy Star for taking the time to join us.

FS: When they told me there would be cake and cookies, you couldn’t have dragged me away! And thank you, too!  I had an amazing time!
