How families prepare for a new addition is as individual as each family. Therefore, we’ve gathered a few examples of how some parents used our personalized book “The Adventures of Chloe and Logan” to teach their little ones about the newest members of their families.
Allow Me to Introduce Myself
First of all, Natalie ordered our heartwarming Siblings book and had her newborn son “give” it to her older children, Caleb and Emerie. That is to say, it was a way to introduce himself to his new older siblings. She writes that it’s a wonderful way “…to commemorate the adventures shared between just the two of them. It was a perfect way to start off the sibling trio!” After that, they’ll all share the mischief, the adventures, the joys and pitfalls of being siblings. However, as an introduction, we couldn’t think of a better way than how Natalie handled it.
This is Us. Nice to Meet You!
Second of all, Stephanie’s sister got her our Siblings book as a gift for her baby shower. In other words, it was a way for both mom and daughter to meet new baby Leilani together before she made her appearance to the world. There’s very little we could add that isn’t expressed in the faces of both Stephanie and her daughter Kaydence. For example, we can see how proud Kaydence is, ready to be Leilani’s older sister, a helping hand, a guide along the winding path of life. Most importantly, we understand Stephanie’s emotion when she sees her present and future daughters together with her in a book.
Why, Hello There!
Finally, let’s see how Courtney helped explain to her son, Jameson, about his new baby sister Tilly. Her words perfectly sum up how direct communication can work:
My sister… bought this for Jameson right after Tilly was born and it has the perfect storyline to help get them excited for what having a sibling means. It talks from the mom’s point of view about how much she loves her kids and all the adventures they get to go on together. From learning how to ride bikes, playing together at the park, baking cookies with mommy, being mischievous together, and everything in between. It has helped SO much to show Jameson in pictures all the fun he and Tilly are going to have together.
It warms our hearts to see our personalized books being used to help welcome the newest members of your families. No one is an island, just like no family exists independent from the main. It’s refreshing to see how connected we all are.
